Rosette Pillow Tutorial....Pick Your Plum~! And Rafflecopter!
So, I've been super excited about Janette and Ashley's Show us your Plum Partaaaay~!
BUT....let me first tell you...I've been down the past week or so because the Little Monsters BROKE my iPad2...more on that later. HOPEFULLY I'll win one from a giveaway I found....and if I do...it's theirs because mine is getting fixed as we speak. If you want to enter the giveaway...the info to enter is at the bottom.
Now, on to my pillows. This was my first experience with Pick Your Plum! I must say....I'm loving the daily email reminders of awesome products they're featuring that day. Today it was baking cups...they're sold out, but they were super cute. My great pal, Janette, over at The Johanson Journey sent me some awesome PYP products to try on for size. I was loving the ric rac (I have lots of colors now...thanks pal :) but for today...I only used the red. (Valentine's Day and all) I didn't invent the tutorial, I found it on Pinterest. HOWEVER....I modified it to fit my time crunch...I used superglue....not craft glue.
First...cut cardboard circles....
Then...put glue where you want the outside of your flower to start...
Use the cutest little mini clothes pin to hold it in place for a sec...
Continue gluing all the way around and bring the next "layer" inside and on top of the outer layer...
Then, put it on your pillow....I've also seen rosettes on lampshades and whatnot. Basically, you can put them anywhere. I'm using the white ric rac for my gallery wall that I'm dreaming of completing.... Here's what it'll look like..
If you want more inspiration, visit PYP on Pinterest for ideas. They even feature Matilda Jane's tutorial for mini rosettes! I made one of those too...but I'm saving it!
Sharin here....
Here's the info for the Rafflecopter giveaway...go enter! If you win, please feel free to send me your iPad2!!

ReplyDeleteOh my, so cute! Love them...and love those mini clothes pins. :)
ReplyDeleteI followed you on Linky Follower, would love if you would follow me back.
Karah
I bet they would even be lightweight enough to add a pin back to them and jazz up an outfit or a purse. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteThey could totally be put on anything!
